Started out doing the automatism of the texture of the ground with burnt umber, the technique is transparent, with a wash of clear varnish on top to make the details clearer. this is on the scenario where Jesus withers the unfruitful fig tree.It is an attempt from my side to imagine what it would have been like, even the fate of the tree was unknown to the tree itself.
